Description
A clean engine bay is a functional advantage, not just an appearance preference. When the engine bay is clean, oil leaks are visible as soon as they start rather than after they've been masked by existing grime for months. Electrical connections and hose fittings are easier to inspect. Heat dissipates more efficiently from clean surfaces than from surfaces insulated by a layer of accumulated grease and grime. Super Dyno Engine Cleaner is a concentrated degreaser built specifically for heavy-duty engine cleaning, capable of handling the worst accumulated contamination that years of regular engine operation produce.
Heavy-Duty Degreaser Chemistry
Super Dyno's concentrated formula is designed for the type of contamination that lighter engine cleaners struggle with: baked-on grease that has been heat-cycled hundreds of times and bonded to metal surfaces, thick oil accumulations around valve covers and drain areas, road-mixed grime in lower engine areas, and rust on metal surfaces. The formula penetrates these deposits on contact and begins breaking them apart from below the surface, making physical agitation with a brush significantly more effective.
The concentration means you can adjust the strength of the cleaning solution for different applications: full concentration for the worst areas of an engine bay that hasn't been cleaned in years, and diluted application for regular maintenance cleaning of an engine bay that gets periodic attention. This flexibility makes Super Dyno a practical choice for both first-time engine cleaning projects and ongoing engine bay maintenance.
Engine Bay Cleaning Process
Cool the engine completely. Protect electrical connections and air intake with plastic bags or covers. Apply Super Dyno Engine Cleaner to all surfaces, paying particular attention to areas with visible grease accumulation. Allow 3 to 5 minutes dwell time. Agitate with a brush on heavily contaminated areas. Rinse thoroughly with low-pressure water. Dry and start the engine briefly to evaporate remaining moisture from heat-sensitive areas.
Finish the clean engine bay with Engine Dressing applied to rubber hoses, plastic covers, and visible components for UV protection and a finished showroom appearance. For ongoing exterior contamination management, use Sap Zap on paint surfaces near the engine bay for tar and adhesive cleanup.
